The Hohmann & Barnard 270-2X Ladder Eye-Wire Reinforcement is built for contractors working on cavity wall or multi-wythe masonry construction. This system combines ladder-style horizontal reinforcement with butt-welded eyes for precision spacing and enhanced structural durability. Each 10 ft. length is engineered to pair with the patented 2X-HOOK, a vertically adjustable anchor that helps manage thermal movement while mechanically securing insulation between wythes.
The 2X-HOOK system can be installed legs up or down and meets key requirements of ACI 530 and ASTM A951. The hook is tested to resist over 200 lbf at the maximum allowed 1-1/4 in. offset, outperforming standard round-wire pintles by over 100%. This product is ideal for masonry contractors who want strong, code-compliant reinforcement that simplifies installation and maximizes structural reliability.
