Brickform Antique Release is a finely milled, colored powder designed for use with stamped concrete applications. Applied before stamping, this hydrophobic release agent serves two purposes: it prevents concrete from sticking to texture mats and rollers, and it imparts a rich, secondary antiquing color that settles into the low points and textures of the surface. This enhances the depth and realism of stamped patterns, creating a more natural stone, tile, or brick appearance.
Ideal for decorative concrete contractors, Brickform Antique Release is broadcast across freshly placed concrete just before stamping. After the pattern is applied, the remaining powder is washed off, leaving behind a subtle contrasting color in recessed areas. It can be used alone or paired with integrally colored concrete and stains for layered color effects. Each 5-gallon bucket covers approximately 800 to 1000 ft² depending on application technique and surface texture.
