H&B NS - Closed Cell Neoprene Sponge
The H&B NS - Closed Cell Neoprene Sponge is a high-performance expansion joint filler designed specifically for masonry applications such as brick and block walls. Commonly used beneath relieving angles or vertically in expansion joints, this material helps control structural movement and prevents mortar from clogging the joint. Made of closed cell neoprene, it provides superior water resistance, energy absorption, and durability when compared to solid rubber or open cell materials.
Its low water permeability and conforming flexibility make it ideal for use in dynamic joint areas where moisture protection and joint cleanliness are critical. H&B’s neoprene sponge conforms to ASTM D 1056 Grade 2A1 standards and is recognized as the accepted material for masonry expansion joints across a wide range of commercial construction projects. It can also be cut to size to fit specific project needs.
